Bold, athletic, and exuberant — the Galliard was the dance of kings and courtiers who wished to display their vigour. Its five-step pattern and leaping cinque pas demanded both skill and stamina.

For five centuries, the dances of the Renaissance have waited in the pages of manuscripts and the memories of scholars. We bring them back to life — not as museum pieces, but as living art, danced by living people in the spirit of the original masters.
Our guild gathers dancers, historians, musicians, and enthusiasts to study, perform, and celebrate the dance traditions of 15th and 16th century Europe — from the courts of Florence and Burgundy to the halls of Tudor England.
